About Myself

    I am Premalatha Divakar born in Kasargod and presently residing in Bangalore capital city of Karnataka State. In my younger age developed keen interest in Indian Music. Now I am specialized in light music like devotional songs, folk songs and bhavageethegalu in Kannada language. I have the credentials of winnng several trophies and honours. Besides being a TV and All India Radio "A" grade artist. I have gained a professional artist status in singing and have made several live recordings. Renowned Publishers' interest in me has given a good boost and made my recordings publicly available. Some of my master recordings have been made available on this web.


My Present Activities

  • I have been able to impart the knowledge to the younger generation. The response is overwhelming and has become a daily work which I do it with full heart. Some of my students have excelled in the field and made a very good name.
