Personal Profile of Smt. Premalatha Divakar

• BA Degree in Music Drama Dance from The Mysore University Fine Arts College at Manasa Gangotri ,Mysore with First Rank and Gold Medal in 1986.
• Started learning Hindustani Classical Music in Bangalore under Pandit Dr.Nagaraj Rao Hawaldar and further continued learning under Shri Pandit Ramrao Nayak for seven years. Gave stage and Radio performances in Hindustani classical Music under their guidance.
• Started as "Yuva Vani " artist at AIR Bangalore and became 'A' grade artist of AIR in Light Music.
• CBS, Sangeetha,Akash,Lahari as well as many other renowned live cassette/CD producers , publishers have published her songs in devotional,Bhavageethe and folk songs.
• Gave many performances in Doordarshan,Etv,ZeeTv,UdayaTv,Kasturi etc.
• Sang title songs for some T.V Serials.
• Sang in the prestigious Mysore Dasara program at Mysore Palace and many other prestigious stages in and outside of Karnataka .
• Play Back singing for films under the direction of renowned music directors Shri. Rajan Nagendra, Upendra Kumar, Vijaya Bhaskar and V.Manohar.
• Sang in several episodes with Shri Dr.S.P.Balasubrahmanyam for ETv 'Ede Tumbi Hadidenu' program.
• Apart from singing, has successfully performed and become popular as an Anchor in several stage programs,TV programs and documentaries.
• Anchored successfully the popular Kannada Antakshari program 'Swara Madhurya' of Bangalore Doordarshan.
• Has conducted/anchored successfully popular Zee Tv Kannada film songs live phone in program 'Chitra Lahari'
• Acted in ETv Kannada tele Mega serial 'NandaGokula' and in other short Telefilms.
• Has conducted workshops,seminars on light music in different parts of Karnataka state.
